On this holy day called Maundy Thursday we celebrate the last supper of Jesus and his disciples. We re-enact the ritual of Jesus-as-servant washing the feet of his followers then put away all the appointments of the worship altar until Easter morning. A small portion of blessed sacrament of bread and wine is reserved at a small altar of prayer through Good Friday and Holy Saturday. This annual service is a beautiful, and sometimes emotional, tradition of the faith.
